Candid Life Update

Hi Everyone!

I can't believe it's been two years since I've posted on my blog. Dang. A lot has changed since then, obviously. I've moved to New York, moved into my first apartment, got my Real Estate License, had a horrible relationship that I'm happy as f*ck is over, got a "somewhat" corporate job, left that job then recently got another. It's been a rollercoaster ride but I've been hanging in there. These past few months have been a mess to say the least. Ya girl was going through it y'all! Almost thought I would have to move back to California if I didn't find a job and have to cut my lease short on my beautiful apartment! I wasn't trying to let that happen. Don't get me wrong, I love and miss my family dearly (especially my dog Zoey) but California isn't where I want to be anymore. No matter how expensive New York is, I love it and currently, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. I've been here for 2 1/2 years and I'm finally feeling like I'm getting the hang of things here. The city can be VERY overwhelming and EXTREMELY intimidating but that is why I like it so much. It takes me out of my comfort zone and forces me to grow. Which was pretty much the point in moving here.

Anyway, I start a new job on Monday that I am both excited and nervous about. I'll be working at an advertising agency working under the President as an Executive Office Assistant. I'm actually a great assistant and I'm happy I found another job in that field! And it's an advertising company and I have a marketing background so I'm excited to see where I can lend a hand in the creative aspect of that. The place seems super diverse and inclusive which is what I like. I was nervous about that because honestly, I don't want to be the token black girl, lol. My last job was full of minorities which is why I liked it so much. I met some amazing people there and was very sad that I wouldn't be working with them anymore. When you have cool co-workers, it makes the job so much easier to deal with. You could hate the job but love your co-workers and that was pretty much the case at my last job. I miss them! But I wasn't happy there anymore and it was affecting my spirit and energy so I made a decision to leave.

What else...I really want to start making fashion look books again and post them. I had started one on the brand Melody Ehsani but never finished. I did a couple visual presentations since then that I may post just because. One was for my brother's Real Estate company, Integrity. The other was for a dress code presentation at my last job. I really enjoy making visually interesting presentations and although I may not be working in the Fashion industry, I can use this as my outlet.

I need to be more active on here. I'm paying monthly for my domain name so I need to get it together! I want to revamp my whole website and even make some Spotify playlists on the 'Music' tab. Currently, I have my old Souncloud playlist on there which has some great tunes but I need to update it. I feel as though I have great taste in music and I be wanting to share the jams I listen to so that's on my list as well. I'm just really excited about this new chapter in my life and I wanted to share it.

Well, thanks for reading! Byeeeee
